QiDO Energy Development was invited last Thursday by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Wind Energy Association, GiZ and VDMA to celebrate the 10th Wind Energy and Development Dialogue anniversary.

Light was brought on 10 years of initiatives from the German cooperation to foster the development of wind energy in emerging countries, and on some successes in countries where the first wind farm was originated thanks to those efforts.

Focus countries this year were Kenya, Ghana, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Pierre Pesnel was happy to share QiDO experience about project development intricacies in Kenya, in a panel with the Energy Regulatory Commission of Kenya and wind turbine manufacturer Vestas.
